IN THE TUB A WHILE.

He got
Out of
His bath
And said
That his hands
Were not hard,
And he had
To get the soft off;

I said
That the
Water had
Swaddled
And padded
The bad bits
And swept
Away their aches.

He didn’t
Quite buy
That one
But as I was
Rushing to get
Him ready I
Figured it would
Suffice this time,

But when
Next I dip
Him in a tub
Full of bubbles
I’ll remind him
His fingertips
Might get squishy
If he splashes to long.
